The Pandemic and Its Impact on Our School
While identifying the best methods for teaching our children has always posed challenges for educational institutions, COVID-19 has created some of the greatest obstacles we have ever encountered, while at the same time encouraging the introduction of new and unique ways of providing instruction. In addition to the various forms of distance learning that utilize a variety of online platforms, hybrid models of classroom education previously unheard of are being offered to overcome the barriers to conventional teaching methods imposed by public health restrictions.
While we at Cochise SDA are utilizing the latest technology and protocols in the process of educating our students both in and out of the classroom setting, our primary focus is on their safety and that of their families. In service of this, we are doing our best to follow the guidelines established by public health agencies and our city, state, and federal governments. In that vein, we have created a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) that details many of the measures in place to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, and staff. To review the COOP click here.
